User Journey
Many valid ways of engaging — without steps, levels, or implied progression.
This canon defines the Arrival Field’s stance on engagement.
It exists to protect autonomy.
Without constraint, systems like this drift into steps, levels, and implied progression.
Within the Arrival Field, the “journey” is not defined.
It is left free.
Why This Canon Exists
The Arrival Field does not assume a single way of moving through it.
People arrive with different capacities, needs, rhythms, and reasons. Some engage briefly. Others return often. Some pause for long stretches. Others remain close to the work for years.
This canon exists to ensure that all of these modes remain valid — now and in the future — without the system drifting into steps, levels, or implied progression.
The User Journey Canon protects autonomy. It ensures the Field remains a place people can enter, leave, and return to without pressure, comparison, or expectation.
Valid Modes of Engagement
There is no preferred way to engage the Arrival Field.
All of the following are legitimate:
reading without practicing
practicing without reading
brief or infrequent sessions
repeated or sustained use
long pauses between visits
manual use only
digital use only
mixed use
exploratory use
applied, life-oriented use
No mode is considered deeper, more advanced, or more complete than another.
Engagement is determined by capacity and relevance — not by time spent, features used, or sequence followed.
What the System Does Not Assume
The Arrival Field does not assume:
that users are moving toward an endpoint
that continuity must increase over time
that experiences accumulate
that insight must deepen
that practice should become more complex
The system does not track advancement. It does not reward intensity. It does not measure progress.
Any sense of “moving forward” or “falling behind” arises outside the Field, not from it.
Movement Without Levels
Elements within the Arrival Field — such as Thresholds, Drawers, Practices, or Apparatus — describe capacity, orientation, or function, not rank or attainment.
Encountering a Threshold does not mean it is embodied.
Leaving a Threshold does not mean it is lost.
Using a Drawer does not imply readiness elsewhere.
Not using a Drawer does not indicate limitation.
Movement is situational. Capacity fluctuates. Return is not repetition.
The system remains the same regardless of where someone is engaging from.
Return, Pause, and Exit
Stepping away from the Arrival Field is not a failure.
Pauses are expected. Exits are clean. Returns do not require rebuilding.
Nothing degrades with absence. Nothing needs to be regained. No momentum is lost.
When someone returns, they return to what is already present — not to where they left off.
Relationship to Lived Life
The Arrival Field does not replace ordinary life or compete with it.
Engagement may increase clarity, stability, or responsiveness — but these are not objectives or guarantees.
The Field supports life as it is lived. It does not reorganize life into a path.
If attention shifts away from lived responsibility toward managing one’s position in the Field, something has been misunderstood.
Final Governance Statement
The Arrival Field does not define a journey.
It allows many journeys to pass through without shaping them.
Any interpretation of levels, advancement, or hierarchy is external to the system and not supported by its structure or language.
This canon exists to preserve that freedom.
