Root Lock

Containment · Grounding · Structural permission

Root Lock is a foundational state of support.

It often becomes noticeable when the system needs settling, grounding, steadiness, or enough structure for contact to remain comfortably in place.

Root Lock Gesture
SUPPORT STATE

Root Lock is less a performed gesture than a recognizable condition in the body.

When it is present, effort often reduces on its own.

The body no longer feels like it has to hold itself together manually.

It is commonly experienced as a quiet but unmistakable sense of being supported from below — not rigid, heavy, or forced, but settled.

Stillness here is not passive.
It is active support without strain.

A lock is not created.

It becomes noticeable.

The defining quality is comfort without continual adjustment.

When Root Lock settles fully, internal movement, linking, or coordination may become easier to recognize on their own.

The gesture does not force movement.

It provides enough stability for movement to organize naturally when needed.

Sometimes the gesture appears briefly.
Sometimes it remains longer.
Sometimes the body remembers it more quickly over time.

Nothing needs to be held once the support is already present.
