Haney
Contact within awareness
Haney is one of five named Field Forms. It brings the hands together lightly at the fingertips. This contact can accompany what you are already noticing.
See the Form
The hands face each other with the fingers gently curved. The corresponding fingertips meet, while the palms remain apart.
Find the Position
Bring your hands to a comfortable place around chest height. Let each fingertip meet the matching fingertip of your other hand. There is no need to press or hold the shape tightly.
Let the fingertip contact be available alongside what you are already noticing. If you are exploring Haney on its own, you may notice the feeling tone where the fingertips meet. You can let your hands rest whenever you are ready.
If this position is uncomfortable or unavailable, let fewer fingertips meet, rest your hands comfortably, or simply notice a point of contact without making the gesture.
Staying With Contact
In my own practice, this brief contact has sometimes brought a fine electrical feeling that seems to rise toward the crown, along with a sense of clarity. That describes what I have noticed; it is not something you need to feel.
You can meet the fingertip contact without following a sensation or trying to make anything happen. If the position causes pain, numbness, dizziness, distress, fatigue, or strain, ease it or let your hands rest.
